ALEXANDRA + NOAH

In our early conversations with Alex and Noah, they talked about their love for mushroom foraging, so we knew we wanted to fold that into the design of their wedding day. we incorporated locally grown oyster mushrooms into their florals as well as other funky natural elements like pitcher plants, moss, and stone frogs. with the added elegance of white calla lilies and green grapes, the florals told a story unique to the couple: elegant but eclectic, sleek but organic, clean… but not afraid to get a little dirty.

the ceremony chuppah was adorned in long calla lilies that graced the front and sides like floral curtains, with green vines draping over the top. our original plan had been to line the aisle with yellow dill to create the feeling of a whimsical but architectural meadow. after a site visit, we noticed yellow kangaroo paw all around the property and proposed a switch from dill to kangaroo paw for a more cohesive and immersive visual experience. the end result situated the chuppah install perfectly within its surroundings.

for reception, we sourced decor that further told their story in clean lines and organic materials—silver aluminum vases, hand-molded in studio; stacks of white travertine on the tables; specially sourced travertine candle holders in earthy shades of ecru and sand. every detail was thoughtfully crafted and considered as a whole, down to the colors of the candles (olive green taper candles and ribbed sage green pillar candles).

it was an additional joy to design the rehearsal dinner for Alex and Noah in a contrasting color palette and scheme. based on an inspiration of an all red tablescape, we concepted and designed an immersive floral runner of red hanging amaranth entwined with chili garlands (custom made in studio), flowing in and out of terra cotta bud vases down the length of the tables. a fiery and celebratory start to a weekend of festivities!
