THE STORY

APRIL 2025 | THE REVERY

BOLD, MOODY, VIBRANT FLORALS FOR A MEXICAN WEDDING AT THE REVERY IN DTLA.

CAROLEA + JUAN

CaroLea and Juan wanted to bring their Mexican heritage front and center with an homage to bougainvillea and a color palette of fuchsia, burgundy, and orange. while we work foremost with natural flowers, we brought in silk bougainvillea flowers to bring their vision to life, since bougainvillea is not always reliable as a cut flower. we aren’t lacking in inspiration here in Los Angeles—bougainvillea bursts over countless walls and doorways in a riot of fuchsia, purple, and orange.

for their reception tables, we set out orange marigolds, dahlias, snapdragons, and sweet pea in a mix of terra cotta bud vases. matching chunky terra cotta candle holders helped set the atmosphere. for a final touch, we hung a splash of bougainvillea right over the sweetheart table and formed a sweetheart meadow with repurposed aisle florals. after reception, C+J brought in lowriders—a final moment that was both uniquely unforgettable and undeniably LA.

C+J’s wedding was bold, unique, and unforgettable. on a cool April day, in the blank canvas of The Revery, we brought in color, festivity, and romance. and as guests rounded the corner heading to the venue, they undoubtedly would have spotted a meaningful coincidence—the glow of fuchsia bougainvillea, growing right down the street from the celebration just about to happen.
